What James has done to his mother's life is not unlike what
Tracy did to her own mother at that age.
But now Tracy and her mother are best friends. Paula is battling
with lung cancer and Tracy is her primary caregiver.
"My mother was there for me. She's my best friend.
I never thought about it before but I don't know what I'll do when
she's gone. I just love her with all my heart."

Holly talks about how much she wishes her father was around.
She and her older brother, James, have been raised solely by
their mother for years.
Their father's abandonment of his family has hurt Holly and James
deeply.
"Every one of my friends have their dads, and they call them
'daddy.' When I talked to my father on the phone, he didn't even
know who I was because he hadn't seen me in so long."

Watching Holly on the verge of tears trying to stay cool,
Bob encourages her to let out her tears.
"When I go to bed at night, I just feel worried. I
feel worried about my mom," she tells him.
But she hangs on to her hope.
"And I feel relaxed, because there's gonna be a new day and
it might be better. There's a few chances that it'll be better."
